Call me old fashioned, call me resistant to stepping outside the box, and call me crazy....but what in the name of all that is good and acceptable in the world is happening to shoes? I love shoes and handbags. Call it an addiction but at least I am not shaving extremities and running through my hood shouting, "Im not Peggy, Im not Peggy!" Straight off the runways of Paris comes the first stepchild of shoes. The plastic, leather, mesh high heel is just plain wrong. I am sure if you were some sort of mountain climbing height challenged person this would be great. The creation comes from Balenciaga for Fall 2007. The "Chunky Shoe" by Christian Dior was a repeated trend. The yellow lace-up boot must have impressed someone of high rank as it landed on NY Mag and on Follow up:
