Single girl Daisy is on thong

16th September 2008

TAKING a trip to the toilet and tucking your dress into your knickers has got to be every girl's worst nightmare.
But it's nice to know these traumas happen to celebrities too.

Leggy model DAISY LOWE ended up with a face as red as her mini dress after discovering she had stepped out with her racy black thong on show in London yesterday.

But the wardrobe malfunction showed ex boyfriend MARK RONSON exactly what he's missing.

Not that she needs to make anyone jealous.

Sources say Daisy is now back in the arms of former flame WILL CAMERON, thefront man of rock group Blondelle.

Daisy reportedly headed back to his place last night after attending the PPQ fashion show at the Natural History Museum.

A source told a newspaper: "Daisy was late flying in from New York, so the show was held up to wait for her.

"Her friends were also left waiting at the aftershow party and they later found out she had gone to Will’s place.

"She went to see Will for a shoulder to cry on. She’s been really upset over the last few days after her split from Mark.

"Daisy never lost touch with Will, and has always remained close friends with him. They have always been close, and Will was pining after her when she dumped him for Mark."

Kate Hudson in My Best Friend's Girl

16th September 2008

Romantic comedy queen Kate Hudson is ready to show fans a different side of her acting in My Best Friend's Girl.

The latest film by the Almost Famous star earned her an R-17 rating in the States - the first Restricted rating she has had.

Hudson stars opposite stand-up comic Dane Cook, but he says it is Kate who is the hilarious one.

"She's incredibly funny... She not only came to set so prepared with the material, but also said let's play around, let's improvise."

My Best Friend's Girl is the story of Tank, played by Dane, who faces the ultimate test of friendship when his mate Dustin hires him to take his ex-girlfriend out on a horrible date to prove how fantastic he is.

Of course the plan backfires.

The film opens in the US and Canada later this month, but UK audiences will have to wait a little longer till it gets here.

J Lo proves she's a superfit mum as she finishes LA triathlon

15th September 2008

Singer, actress, record producer and fashion designer Jennifer Lopez can now add "athlete" to her CV. The multi-talented mum-of-two competed in a gruelling LA triathlon on Sunday, finishing in a respectable two hours, 23 minutes and 28 seconds.

Triumphant J Lo, who began training shortly after giving birth to twins Emme and Max seven months ago, punched the air in delight as she crossed the finish line.

"I'm glad I finished and that I made it out of the water," said the 39-year-old after powering her way through a half-mile swim, an 18-mile bike ride and a four-mile run to raise £70,000 for charity.

"But, more amazing than that, I feel really great that we raised money for the Children's Hospital," added Jennifer, who was cheered on by husband Marc Anthony.

The inspiration for taking on the challenge may have come from a fellow competitor – Jennifer's Wedding Planner co-star Matthew McConaughey. As he crossed the line in one hour and 30 minutes, the buff actor was met by girlfriend Camila Alves and their two-month-old baby boy Levi.

Desperate Housewife Felicity Huffman and her other half, William H Macy, were also among the celebrity contingent taking part.

New £5 million contract is sweet medicine for House's Hugh Laurie

13th September 2008

Since arriving on US TV screens in 2004, British actor Hugh Laurie has become one of the country's biggest stars. Now he has become one of its most highest-paid, too, after signing a £5 million contract to continue his role in the medical series House.

The new contract means the 49-year-old, who plays grumpy doctor Gregory House, will receive £224,000 for each episode of the hit show. It will also make Hugh the fourth highest-paid actor on US TV, only topped by Charlie Sheen, CSI actor William Peterson and 24 action star Kiefer Sutherland.

And it seems that the award-winning star – who's own father, Ran, was a doctor – has decided to make some changes since signing up to the show until 2012. After living alone in California, the Blackadder actor is believed to be moving his family - wife Jo and their three teenage children – from London to join him in the US.

"It's been a great strain, but all things come to an end - strains as well as delights - and we'll get through," said the two-times Golden Globe winner on the situation.
