Dr Dre's 20-year-old son has died, the rapper's publicist said.

"Dr Dre is mourning the loss of his son, Andre Young Jr," publicist Lori Earl said in a statement.

Mr Young Jr, who was named after his father, was found dead on Saturday by his mother at their home in suburban Woodland Hills, LA, the county coroner's office said.

A post-mortem has been performed, but the cause of death was not likely to be determined for eight weeks while toxicology tests are carried out.

Nicole Kidman's baby daughter has been distracting the cast and crew of the actress's new movie.

Kidman, who gave birth to Sunday Rose with husband Keith Urban last month, has been taking the new arrival onto the set of new film Australia.

However, director Baz Luhrmann has reportedly "put his foot down" after she and co-star Hugh Jackman spent too much time focusing on the baby rather than their work.

A source said: "There has been a lot of cooing over the baby. Sunday Rose is so cute and she's become something of a mascot for the rest of the cast and crew.

"Baz has actually had to put his foot down because he's got less than six weeks to finish the movie and all the baby fuss is starting to be somewhat distracting."

Former Spice Girls star Melanie Chisholm has confirmed she is expecting her first child.

The singer was rumoured to be pregnant after paparazzi snappers caught her wearing a loose-fitting dress to hide her growing bump.

And now the star, 34, has announced she and her partner of six years, Thomas Starr, are to become first time parents - and are "very happy" with the news.

Chisholm claims she plans to take time out from her solo career to focus of being a mum, but insists she will soon be back on stage performing.

"I will be taking it easy but am also excited to start writing for an album, I'll need some time off to be a mum but, before you know it, we'll be back."
