This fall, Duffy will travel with Coldplay to north America in support of the band's world tour. She will open the band's gig and use the opportunity to promote her debut album called "Rockferry" which was already released in March.

The "Mercy" singer will also start kicking off her own major gigs in San Diego on October 9. She will then continue performing in Los Angeles, Vancouver, Seattle, and Chicago before joining Coldplay on stage in Cleveland, New Jersey, Boston, Washington DC, and Philadelphia.

Furthermore, with a major 12-dates UK tour, including a performance at Newport Center, Duffy is reported to be very busy this year. Next month, she will appear on CBS's "The Late Show". After that, she will also perform at the all-star Fashion Rocks concert held in Radio City Music Hall.

Though the official cast of "Dancing With the Stars" season 7 won't be announced until August 25, the alleged list has been leaked out. According to GossipSauce.com, the hit ballroom reality series will have celebrities from former NSYNC member Lance Bass to Hollywood socialite Kim Kardashian.

Joining the two in the rumored cast ensemble are four television stars, two singers, three athletes, a comedian Jeff Ross and a model Brooke Burke. The TV stars include "All My Children" star Susan Lucci, television star Ted McGinley, primetime Emmy Awards-winner Cloris Leachman and the Jake Ryan of "Hannah Montana" series Cody Linley.

Furthermore, the musicians are Sugar Ray singer Mark McGrath and Grammy Award recipient Toni Braxton. Additionally, the athletes consist of Olympic medalist Maurice Greene, retired football player Warren Sapp and beach volleyball player Misty May-Treanor.

Ricky Martin is a father for the first time. The Puerto Rican singer has become a father to twin boys via surrogate mother a few weeks ago. Concerning his new role, he reportedly will take a year off from music industry to be a full-time dad and raise the babies.

Confirming the arrival of the twins, a representative for Martin revealed to People "In recent weeks, Ricky Martin became a proud father by the birth of twin sons." The representative furthermore said, "The children, delivered via gestational surrogacy, are healthy and already under Ricky's full-time care" adding that "Ricky is elated to begin this new chapter in his life as a parent and will be spending the remainder of the year out of the public spotlight in order to spend time with his children."

No further details were made available, including the twins' names, birth location or vital statistics. There's also no word on the identity of the boys' mother.

The twins are the first children for Martin. The 36-year-old singer has in recent years been active in charitable efforts, including the prevention of sexual exploitation of children. He also has a foundation named after him, called Ricky Martin Foundation.

It looks like having children via surrogate mother has become a trend among Hollywood celebrities and the latest who's joining the club is Martin. He's following in the footsteps of Dennis Quaid, who also has twins via surrogate mother.

Jennifer Lopez has reportedly claimed that she is surprised by all the attention eight-time Olympic winner Michael Phelps is receiving.

According to a source at Good Morning America, the singer thought her efforts in training for triathlon were greater than Phelps's swimming gold medal haul.

After filming a TV interview, she apparently said

"she couldn't understand why everyone is talking about that swimmer."

The source added:

"She couldn't come up with [Michael] Phelps' name, and then she yammered on about how she was the one training for a triathlon just six months after giving birth, and how that was the big story right now, not 'the swimmer'."

Lopez's triathlon will raise funds for Los Angeles Children's Hospital.

Gary Glitter has been threatened with deportation to Vietnam after refusing to leave Bangkok, reports say.

The 64-year-old, who was released from prison in Vietnam yesterday after serving a three-year sentence for child molestation, has refused to board a connecting flight to London from Bangkok, claiming to be suffering from chest pains.

A doctor declared Glitter well enough to travel in the Bangkok airport transit lounge and prescribed him painkillers for a minor chest inflammation. However, the former glam rock singer since checked himself into airside hotel the Louis Tavern.

Immigration official Lt Gen Chatchawal Suksomjit said:

"We will have to repatriate him back to Vietnam, because he is on our watch list as persona non grata. Thai immigration cannot let him enter."

Maj Gen Pongdej Chaiprawaj added:

"He is banned from entering because he was jailed and he could pose a threat to domestic morality. He is a transit passenger and it is the responsibility of the airline to take him to his final destination."

Home Secretary Jacqui Smith insisted that Glitter would not be allowed to leave the UK upon his return.

"I want Gary Glitter to be controlled whilst he's here and I don't want him to be able to go anywhere else in the world in order to abuse children,"

she said.
